Affinity Checks

What is an affinity check?

It shows your affinity or allegance to a cause or other person or organization.

So you might get an affinity checkbook for the world wildlife fund. This displays pictures of animals.

And does the cause prosper because you have that checkbook?

It certainly gets some exposure and there is normally some financial contribution for using the name.

New backend

I'm just working on some new statistics backend software for checkseek.com which should allow us to offer a better service to check buyers.

It always seems to take longer than anticipated though.

Move for Checks Mate blog

I've moved this blog over to checkseek my other checks site. It was getting neglected over at
bpc, because I'm mostly working on checkseek now.

Hopefully I can update this more often now!

checks in the mail

I've just received a few checks in the mail.

It is always a nice feeling to see that check and watch it become money in your bank account. Much more so than just a normal transfer. There is a bit more anticipation. A bit more waiting.
And then it's there. And then a few days later you can actually use it!

I'll be going through this over the next few days.

Personal checks on slow decline

Checks of all forms are slowly declining. Which matches what I think. But are custom, designer checks?

I have no figures for this, but I would say that personalized checks are on the increase since people can now order online and get a very wide range of check styles.

Businesses also like to keep aware of payments and use checks. Printing laser checks on blank check stock can automate things nicely.

help needed to catch bad checks

state police are asking for help to capture a person passing bad checks in wayne county. These bad checks were passed on the 12th and 13th October. So if you know any thing give them a call.

I wonder how many bad checks are passed a year?

And what percentage of those are actually detected?

Is it a priority or not?

Airnet feels check 21

Check 21 has affected Airnet. The company, which has specialized in carrying bank documents including checks by air, has seen a reduction in business as check 21 electronic transfer of checks has become more commonplace. The story states that the company has put itself up for sale.

I guess that there could be other businesses effected in a similar way, although Airnet is directly in the path of the changing marketplace.
