Well first of all there are plenty of check reorder companies. On one level printing a check that looks okay is something anybody with a printer could do. You want a bit more. A trustworthy company should be clear about the paper they will print on (the federal reserve sets a standard) and the kind of ink they use (your bank will probably demand a special magnetic ink).
When you're doing the ordering it's a good idea to use your credit card and you should always check that the server is secure - you're looking for that little padlock symbol on your web browser. Finally you should expect check reorder companies to ask you to send a current personal check for them to copy. This is so they can conform exactly with your banks requirements and it is good practice. Make sure you have clearly voided your check before sending it. That's it - safe and sound.
